The 2024 Yukon River Trail Marathon is sold out.

The race date for 2024 is Sunday, August 4th.

Find us on Facebook.

What are the race categories?

The race categories are full marathon, half marathon, a marathon-length relay and half marathon walk.  Every participant must register themselves and indicate their agreement with the waiver.

Relay teams of two, three or four runners are allowed. Each team member must register themselves, and the captain should register first.  All members of the team will need to use  the name of their team to register.   Each team member must identify the leg, or legs, that they will be running.

What are the age categories?

There are 5 age categories for Marathon and Half Marathon runners and walkers based on the age on race day:

  • Masters P3 70 years and older
  • Masters PP (Masters Plus Plus) 60 years to 69 years
  • Masters P (Masters Plus) - 50 to 59 years
  • Masters - 40 to 49 years of age
  • Open - 14 to 39 years of age

When is parental consent required?

Only runners aged 14 years or older on race day are eligible to register. Parental consent is required for all runners below the age of 18 years on race day. Young runners can register on line, but must submit a signed copy of the parental consent form.  This form will be sent to the parent or guardian by email after their child has been registered.  You can hand in the signed copy at bib pick up, or scan and email it to register@yukonmarathon.com. Please note that bib packages will not be handed out unless a signed parental consent form is received at or before bib pickup.

Unfortunately the online registration system requires that the adult waiver be endorsed in order to complete the registration process.  This  waiver will be voided upon receipt of the parental consent form.  Please contact register@yukonmarathon.com if you have questions or concerns.

How do I register?

Registration for the Yukon River Trail Marathon is ONLY available on-line through events.com.  Every runner must register themselves. If you are a member of a relay team, there is a place on the registration site for the name of your team. The race fee is payable online by credit card. On-line registration is available until midnight Sunday July 28, unless the race is sold out earlier.

Why personal health information is collected?

As of 2024, we ask that you identify any known medical conditions, medications, allergies or other information that may be pertinent to medical responders should you require emergency medical assistance.  This information will help first responders provide you with better assistance in case of an emergency.   The information will be collected when you register online and will be printed on a label affixed to the back of your bib.  You will be asked to verify the medical information at bib pick-up.

All registration information is maintained by events.com and is subject to their privacy policy.  For more information, go to https://events.com/privacy/.

What are the fees?

The registration fee is $70 per person. The shirt is an additional purchase, not included in the registration fee and is optional.

There will be no refunds for registration fees or shirt purchases. Registered participants who cannot take part in the event can however pick up their race package at the bib pick up or  transfer their registration to another participant before midnight Sunday July 28.   For information on how to transfer registrations, please go to the  "Changes and Transfers" page.

Please note that any race packages that are not picked up by the end of bib pickup on Saturday are forfeited, including the shirt if purchased, unless other arrangements have been made (see below).

When and where do we pickup the race package?

Bib pick-up and orientation takes place on Friday, August 2 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, August 3 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Sport Yukon, 4061 Fourth Avenue, Whitehorse, Yukon.

Bib pickup at Shipyards Park on race day will be limited to out-of-town participants.  If you live in a rural Yukon community, please make every effort to have a friend or family member who lives in Whitehorse pick up your bib package during the scheduled times if you are unable to do so.

If you are from outside of Yukon and are able to pick up your bib package  during scheduled pick up times, please do so.

If you are unable to pick up your bib package during the scheduled hours, please send an email to register@yukonmarathon.com to make alternative arrangements.

Race shirts

When you register you have the option of purchasing a race shirt.  This year the race shirt is slate blue with short sleeves.
