how do i rEgister?

Registration for the Yukon River Trail Marathon is only available online through events.com. Every runner must register themselves. If you are a member of a relay team, there is a place on the registration site for the name of your team. Online registration is available until the race is sold.

Scroll down for more details about the race categories and distances.

What are the race categories?

The race categories are full marathon, half marathon, a marathon-length relay and half marathon walk.

Relay teams of two, three, or four runners are allowed. Each team member must register themselves—to indicate their agreement with the waiver— and the captain should register first. All members of the team will need to use the name of their team to register. Each team member must identify the leg, or legs, that they will be running.

What are the age categories?

There are five age categories for the marathon and half marathon runners and walkers based on their age on race day:

  • Open: 14 to 39 years of age

  • Masters: 40 to 49 years of age

  • Masters P (Masters Plus): 50 to 59 years

  • Masters PP (Masters Plus Plus): 60 years to 69 years

  • Masters P3: 70 years and older

When is parental consent required?

Only runners aged 14 years or older on race day are eligible to register. Parental consent is required for all runners below the age of 18 years on race day. Young runners can register online, but must submit a signed copy of the parental consent form. This form will be sent to the parent or guardian by email after their child has been registered. You must scan and email the completed form to register@yukonmarathon.com. Please note that bib packages will not be handed out unless a signed parental consent form is received

Unfortunately the online registration system requires that the adult waiver be endorsed in order to complete the registration process. This  waiver will be voided upon receipt of the parental consent form.

Why is personal health information is collected??

As of 2024, we ask that you identify any known medical conditions, medications, allergies, or other information that may be pertinent to medical responders should you require emergency medical assistance. This information will help first responders provide you with better assistance in case of an emergency. The information will be collected when you register online and will be printed on a label affixed to the back of your bib. You will be asked to verify the medical information at bib pick-up.

All registration information is maintained by events.com and is subject to their privacy policy.

When and where do we pickup the race package?

Bib pickup and course orientation takes place on Friday, August 1 from 4-6pm and Saturday, August 2 from 10am to 2pm at Sport Yukon (4061 Fourth Avenue in Whitehorse).

Bib pickup on race day will be limited to out-of-town participants.  If you live in a rural Yukon community, please make every effort to have a friend or family member who lives in Whitehorse pick up your bib package during the scheduled times if you are unable to do so.

If you are from outside of Yukon and are able to pick up your bib package  during scheduled pick up times, please do so.

If you are unable to pick up your bib package during the scheduled hours, please send an email to register@yukonmarathon.com to make alternative arrangements.
