Every September, teams of ten runners begin in Skagway, Alaska and run through the night over the historic White Pass to Whitehorse, Yukon - a distance of 177 kms (or 110 miles). Learn more about the Klondike Trail of 98 International Road Relay by visiting www.klondikeroadrelay.com.

Every June, the Fly By Night Running Club hosts the Mayo Midnight Marathon along the historic Silver Trail. Mayo, with a population of 425 people, is a 5-hour drive from Whitehorse. To learn more about this event, visit www.mayomidnightmarathon.ca.

If biking is more your thing, consider the Chilkat Kluane International Bike Relay which takes place in the third week of June. Teams of 8, 4, 2, and even solo riders cover the 241 km (150 miles) distance between Haines Junction, Yukon and Haines, Alaska. For more information, visit www.kcibr.org.
