Join our team of volunteers!
Races can't happen without people to, er, run them. Not a runner? No problem, there is always room on our volunteer team. Racers need to be directed onto the right trail, watered along the course and fed at race end. We also run the timing system and sound system, gathering and sharing the race results.
You ARE a runner or walker? We have several tasks in the days and months before race day too. YRTM is run by a volunteer board of directors and various committees who obtain funding, organize logistics, coordinate volunteers, post information on this website and other media…
Some volunteers have been with us since our very first race in 2000! Thanks to them, many of the bugs have been worked out so we have quite straightforward routines for new folks to follow. Join individually or with a group of friends or colleagues.
All volunteers receive a small gift, a snack on race, and tons of appreciation from runners on the course.
